GAJO is committed to publishing original scholarly materials of the highest quality that provide comprehensive insight into all aspects of information science, business science, medical information science and engineering science. As an internationally-recognized publisher, GAJO’s goal is to facilitate the availability of academic excellence and disseminate innovative knowledge worldwide.
In support of the mission of GAJO, we only publish original materials that have been subject to a standardized process across all publications of a stringent double-blind review evaluation by multiple reviewers.
GAJO journal editors and authors are provided written guidelines and checklists that must be followed to maintain the high value that GAJO places on the work it publishes. GAJO reviewers are an important component of the scholarly process and therefore are instructed to provide comprehensive, detailed appraisals of work that they are reviewing to assist the author in improving the quality and usability of the presented research.

GAJO Malpractice Process

In an attempt to alleviate instances of malpractice before they occur, GAJO provides:

  • Journal Editors with a detailed Guide to Editing an GAJO journal or book. This publication presents the company Editorial Policy pertaining to the double blind review process, the standard Manuscript Review Form and guidelines for selecting qualified reviewers and their responsibilities.
  • Chapter/Journal article authors receive Author Guidelines that state the material must be original
  • Chapter/Journal article authors must complete a checklist to accompany their accepted article that all the authors sign prior to publication to attest to the originality.
  • An GAJO Author Warranty and Transfer of Copyright form that each author must sign to acknowledge that the paper is original, is not submitted elsewhere, and does not include copyrighted elements.

In spite of these precautions when questions arise, GAJO is very aggressive in its investigation of charges of plagiarism, misconduct or illegal distribution of its published work. Guided by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) as outlined at, book and journal editors are asked to forward any suspicion or reports of plagiarized material, double submissions, fabricated research results, etc. to the GAJO Director of Intellectual Property and Contracts for investigation.
It is the full intention of GAJO to protect its intellectual property and to ensure that its authors/editors receive full recognition for their research and ideas published in GAJO books and journals. However, in light of all the possible means used by those who violate copyright, particularly in those countries where copyright laws are not recognized or enforced, it is extremely difficult to completely protect intellectual property from illegal uses. GAJO takes every possible step to protect its publications in today’s electronic world to the best of our abilities.
If malpractice is proven, steps are taken by GAJO to inform the different parties in an honest, open manner with the sole outcome to correct any infringement, whether direct or unintentional, to maintain the integrity of the scholarly publish intent and GAJO’s reputation as a publisher of quality research materials.
